While Karin's incarnation as Buurin is silly enough for many comic series, the animators excelled at making her "normal" face as flexible as possible. Keith's Tonde Buurin Page in fact contains a Funny Faces Gallery that collect many of the outrageous expressions she makes during her adventures. Yet she can be quite beautiful in a wistful way.
