Episode 16: "Yōkai Nopperabō" (妖怪のっぺらぼう) This well-known paranormal trickster teams up with the series nemesis Nurarihyon and creates havoc in a rural village by stealing people’s faces. Defeated by Kitarō, he later shows up as a guest character as a supporter of the Kitarō-tachi (as in Episode 52, where he appears as one of the crowd of yōkai confronting Nezumi-Otoko after one of his ploys goes awry.
