Episode 18: Yokai Tenko's Counterattack from the Earth's Core (Yōkai Tenko Chitei Ōkoku no Gyakushū ( 妖怪天狐地底王国の逆襲). This episode involves humans’ violation of an underground yōkai world inhabited by fox spirits. This involves a complicated battle between the human-allied Kitarō-tachi and the kitsune of the mischievous Yoko clan. The army of yōkai foxes, it turns out, is divided into ranks, all commanded by their Tenko or leader fox. This fox, it appears, is a 空狐 Kūko , or “air fox.” The image below, taken from a fansite, appears to be from the same cut as my cel.
But since the screen cap shows a crescent-shaped eye pupil, my “A-tome” cel must originally have had a moving B-layer on top that since has been lost.
