Ep. 36, cut 220. At the end of the archery contest, Fuu’s captor pants in mingled fatigue and frustration, while Fuu politely comments that she thinks she has hit a few more targets than her opponent.
This orphan layout came as an extra in another lot that included roughs. The animation supervisors for this episode were Keiji Gotoh [後藤 圭二] and his wife Megumi Kadonosono [門之園 恵美], but I can’t identify any particular token of either artist in this layout. It is, nevertheless, a vigorous portrait of this self-centered spoiler, and the screen cap shows that the final image was very close to this preliminary effort.
