Episode 6 (Lives at Stake - Presea's Weapons), cut 87. Ascot has created a magical lure to attract one of his monsters to Presea’s lair. He throws it through one of her windows, and we see it hit the armorer’s back and magically pass through her. Aware that something has happened, Presea then turns slightly and looks over her shoulder. Sequence number: A11E

This master set-up originally combined the end key image of Presea seen above with a B1 cel, showing the first visible image of Ascot’s lure, a red ball accented with fiery airbrushing, appearing on the right margin of the frame. But when this cel was used, as you see from the screen cap below, Presea still was facing away from the window.

I gently removed the B1 layer for the image featured above, but added a scan of the set-up as I received it (B1 still included) in the first thumb. In the second thumb you can see the original background by itself. The graduated lighting of the ceiling inside Presea’s lair is especially well done.
It is interesting that the screen caps render the outside walls as blue, while the scan shows them as gray. I held the watercolor up to the screen to assure myself that the scanning hadn't changed its color. I assume that the shift toward blue is either the result of some effect added during production or (more likely) an artifact of my screencapping from an early DVD release.
