Ep. 1 (Sakura and the Clear Cards), cut 192. The morning after her Cards go blank, Sakura and Kero-chan stop by Yukito’s house. He invites her into the house, and when she slides his door shut, she turns to see him already midway into his magical transformation into his Yue form.
This rather stark image of the sliding door is tinted blue from Yue’s henshin and tilted sharply upward to emphasize the eerie mood of this moment. The featured image has been cropped to trim out the margins, but an unaltered scan of the whole sheet is added in the first thumb. The second thumb adds the art board used by the background artist. While the base image is a photocopy, its lines have been heavily emphasized in holograph graphite, partly to make creases on the sheet which was to hold the finished watercolor.
