This guest character also plays a significant role in this episode. In the canonical manga version, the yōkai Yasha draws souls to him by playing the guitar outside people’s homes. When it turns out that a mysterious person has been seen strumming a guitar outside the home of a popular violin-playing idol, Kitarō logically sets a trap to overpower this guy. However, in this clever adaptation, the guitar-player is just a decoy used by Yasha to conceal his real plan.
This sketch looks to be a second-level clean-up working toward the layout stage. The character’s hair and expression are already clean and expressive.
