And here the visibly relieved sister gives Catboy a big hug, while Kitarō looks on with a cheerful "Mission Accomplished" expression.
I admit that I have been bold in drawing conclusions about how these sketches fit together; it may be that they fall into quite a different order and thus a very different storyline. But this implied script works for the moment, and it's in line with canonical Kitarō manga episodes that Mizuki wrote, which inspire this long-running series.
