And here is the full set of dougas reanimated in a simple way according to the timing sheet (omitting the use of the B-level mouth layers for the dialogue). You won’t see this in the final version of the episode, however, as that was trimmed both at the start and the end. As finally screened, the cut comes to an abrupt end with Chiaki’s expression shifting to her final intense look of delight, seen in the screen cap below:

But actually, the timing sheet shows that a more complex effect was planned. Chiaki holds her upward eyes-open A3 pose for nearly three seconds, as noted. Then the sheet instructs the CGI staff to use both the A9 and A10 dougas simultaneously, executing a brief (¼ sec.) fade out of the A9 into the A10. (I’ve used my limited animation program to do something similar here, though it’s not as good as Triangle Staff could manage.)
Then this pose was supposed to stay on the screen for a second and a half, the A10 END douga alternating (on threes) with a similar A11 douga to produce a “quivering” effect. Presumably the memory of her UFO flight is enough to make Chiaki shiver all over with joy.
But a late decision by the studio removed this part of the cut, which now shows Chiaki’s long open-eyes pose shifting suddenly (no fade) to the shut-eyes end keyframe, and the perspective shifts back to Mayuko, who is still angry over having the roof of her room damaged by NieA’s experiment.
Still, it was an effect that the animators obviously spent time and mental effort working out. So somebody’s got to see it sometime, no? Why not you? Why not now?
