Cut 2097. In a continuation of this cut, Shatta takes a few steps toward Laala/Koram, but the blue spark departs and fades, and the darkness lifts.
This reanimation uses the roughs for this part of the cut, along with the schematic sketch of how a glowing spark, evidently Koram’s spirit departing to her longed-for final rest, emerges from Laala and flies off to the left. I’ve digitally made the “7” sketch fade into this schematic, which then fades into the “8” sketch showing Shatta following the spark as it leaves. Not having the timing sheet, I’ve used my instincts, holding the first sketch for a full second, then running the following ones at a quarter of a second each, and finally holding the last sketch for another second before the gif loops.
The shuusei gengas of Shatta running were quite elaborate, given the smallness of the image and the brief time each would appear onscreen. I’ve added details from the shuuseis for the “5” and “7” sketches (somewhat larger than actual size) as the two thumbnails.
