Cut 74. Awkward bits of conversation ensue, during which Kotomi manages to drop the detail that Tetsu is on a mission to find Karada-chan. This saddens the supposedly incognito Karada-san and reminds her former companion of why he is there. So the next morning he rises early and heads off to ask around for her at the guest houses by the beach, as Karada watches sadly. Kotomi, characteristically, reacts in an upbeat way, commenting, “He’s certainly fired up!”
Again, I’ve pasted together the two genga layers, A1 and C1, to match the final frame. The thumbs add the layout (showing a quite different set of poses at the door) and Hasegawa’s graceful shuusei genga, with his usual attention to the eyes.
