Cut 168B. Then we see Shōko’s reaction to this moment. At the moment she seems puzzled, even perhaps a little chagrined to have provoked such a strong reaction.

This simple cut, like the previous one, had a single A1/B1 END image, which lingers for four seconds. The rough by Episode AD Oki is featured this time. This artist seems to have hit the mark on the first try, for the sketch set contained only a partial shuusei by Itō, refining Shōko’s eyes and expression. That led, as before, to the genga (first thumb), a detailed second shuusei by Oki (separating Shōko and Karada on two layers) and the douga (not imaged).
The second thumb adds the interesting “box-eyes” sketch by Episode Director Takashima, which defined the basic composition of the frame down to the tilt of Shōko’s head.
