As the dougas for the related cuts 145, 147, and 152 were mostly complete, I’ve added here this simple reenactment/comparison of Karada’s three reactions. Each begins with the A1 douga, but they go different ways from there. Reaction 1 (A1-A4) is a simple “Eh?” while Reaction 2 (A1, A5-A7) is visibly more intense, with an eyeblink helping give Karada’s surprise extra energy. The brief Reaction 3 (A1, A8, A9) shows Karada more dramatically thrusting her head forward.
I’ve started each of these with a second’s pause and ended them with a .60 sec. pause. Otherwise the speed is the 8-to-a-second given in the timing sheets. The complete set added three more frames to the last one, but they are partials, Karada’s hair reacting to her sudden head motion.
