Mikael shinnies down one of the wires after the Book of Chaos that Yuusuke has tossed away, only to find that Silky has arrived on the scene and has picked it up. Covering up his initial surprise, he comments that if she has joined them, she too must be trying to become an angel. “Never!” she responds, glaring back at Mikael.
This sequence of sketches covers two related sequence, planned as a single cut, in which Silky continues to respond contemptuously to Mikael’s comments. It included two gengas and two sketches on yellow paper labeled “shuusei” (correction). I’ve featured the A2 shuusei, with the A2 genga and the A1 shuusei in the thumbs.
The shuuseis are almost identical to the gengas, but a very close look shows that they adjust many of the genga’s details slightly and were used to produce the final image. As four animators were credited for animation direction of this episode, it’s is impossible to tell which one drew these shuuseis. The sketching style and labeling seem definitely different from the shuuseis for the Yuusuke sketches shown earlier. But here too, the animator who executed these shuuseis must have been concerned to get every detail just right.
