Episode 42, another of CCS’s “special” episodes, is a perceptive reinterpretation of the familiar fairy tale “Sleeping Beauty,” which Sakura and her classmates try to put on as a class play. Except that, in a whimsical turn, the two main characters, the Princess and the bold Prince, are played cross-dressed. This wonderful pan cel, my first “wishlist” cel (and the incentive for me to invest in my first cel book) shows Prince Sakura in one of her most dashing moments.
