Episode 24 (The Day of Catastrophe). The vicious pet monster Myamuru has critically injured the human bounty-hunter Ayami, and Natsuki is trying to capture the pest on the top of the hospital where her friend is fighting for her life. Suddenly her human rival Fonne appears on the scene, likewise in pursuit of the culprit. She turns to the cat-girl, her eyes brimming with tears, and snarls, “If it weren’t for you monsters, Ayumi would not have...” An attack by the dangerous creature interrupts Fonne, and Natsuki for a horrified moment thinks Fonne is telling her that her co-worker has died. Sequence number: B6

This is a critical moment in the stress that leads Natsuki to her mental collapse, and the short cut from which it comes is repeated, once as a collage of images soon after, and then, at the start of the next episode, as part of a flashback. This cel came with a non-matching douga, the B7 END. (The paper shreds on its back are, presumably, the remains of the matching B6 douga.)
SENSEI CHECK!
The relatively minor role of Fonne was cast quite strongly by Pierrot: she was voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi, whose huge repertory ranged from Birdy in the 1996 Birdy the Mighty OVA, to Misato Katsuagi in the Neon Genesis Evangelion saga, to Mireille Bouquet in Noir to (of course) Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon/Princess Serenity ... and Chibi Chibi too! Having a seasoned and powerful voice in this minor role gives this scene the emotional wallop it needed to push Natsuki over the edge.
(CCS fans: watch for a similarly dramatic moment in Ep. 5, when the toy shop owner Maki explains her history and tells Sakura and Tomoyo why she is determined to succeed in her business at all costs. Maki was also voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi.)
