I’d initially decided to put this image, the opening one in this cut, in one of the thumbnails of the previous set. But on receiving it, I felt Tamai’s work was far too good to hide. Here Nori is just catching sight of the incoming crow feathers.
A split second later, she jurks to her right, instinctively putting her hand up as the crow feathers whistle past her ear (see first thumb). This set also came with an interesting genzu, possibly a supervisor’s reaction to Tamai’s A1 rough, or perhaps a practice sketch by Tamai (see second thumb).
