As the camera tracks back from Chiaki’s face, the cut fades into one of Maron, which in parallel fashion pans into an extreme close-up of her shell-shocked face.
But ... the well-meaning lad starts to continue, not quite sure why women get so dang fussy about issues like this.
Again the very fine genga is featured above. Kagawa's rough (thumbnail) is, interestingly, much less detailed than usual, perhaps because Maron, being frozen in place, needed less work than the action scenes. The layout (second thumb) is also rather simple, though it works out the way the camera would zoom into her.
