Just as the Chiaki/Maron affair starts to get warm, this incandescently hot guy shows up. A new history teacher, he’s got the looks, the physique, the black pony tail, and everything Hades will allow to seduce Maron. Yes, he’s got a henshin too, but he doesn’t need any magical helper, because he’s bad to the bone all by himself.
He too is very hard to collect, but I managed to snag this portrait of him from a late episode, stalking Maron in an automobile, and getting ready to use all of his masculine charms to win her over to the Dark Side.
And y’think Toei is gonna get some anonymous wussie off the street to voice this diabolical bishie? No, of course didn’t: they got Kappei Yamaguchi. One of the supreme stars of the seiyuu world, this actor gave voice to a host of memorable male characters, among them Ryuichi Sakuma in Gravitation, Ranma Saotome (male) in Ranma ½, Subaru Sumeragi in Tokyo Babylon and, of course, the title role in Inuyasha.
