And there (in the B5 featured above) goes the right-hand ribbon ahead of Madoushi toward Sakura. Unlike the water bomb, she launches the ribbon in an underhand cast, rotating quickly toward her right.

In the thumbs, I've included the gengas on each side of this key, showing the sorceress's move gaining energy, then continuing to spin her body toward her right. She means to do this, because she's about to make this move do double duty by launching the other ribbon with the same centrifugal force.
Watch her huge pony tail, bound together by a large bead: in the B4 it is swinging to her right, but the force of her cast makes it switch over to her left in the image above. Then in the B6 Madoushi pulls her right arm with force in the direction of her spin. This sends the ribbon off with a "snap" and makes the pony tail swing back to the left. Notice also how the earring tassels signal this "snap" a moment sooner.
Interestingly, it's hard to see this bulky mass of hair in the final version, as most of it falls outside of the safety; yet its force and dynamics still had to be worked out thoroughly on these gengas, or those hurtling ribbons wouldn't have the same impact.
Magic is magic; but when it's wedded to physics, it seems to strike home with realistic force.
