This cut could have been relatively simple, moving quickly to the big attack, but Madhouse took the time to characterize the sorceress in a very complex way. After a moment of shock, she simply shakes her head, as if trying to comprehend what Sakura has said, then turns back to her.
This is the C5, a really fascinating pose in which we see for a moment just how vulnerable Madoushi is. Her eyes, still malicious, open wide, and actually cross a little, as if she's been thrown out of focus for a moment.
The effect is to show her staggered by the news: no, no, that's not true, that couldn't be true, that mustn't be true.
