A fine image of Hakkai, Gojyo, and Son Goku petrified by a magic attack, rendered in the form of a harmony cel. These rare images are in fact watercolor images that are given additional definition by adding an acetate layer with trace lines.
As Saiyuki was CGI from the start, though with scanned watercolor backgrounds, this is as close to an actual cel from this series as one can get. It is certainly a treat to get a color image that is not a repro cel, and I thank Titania for being willing to accept an offer on this treasure.
