And here, thanks to the careful work of my friend Vampyreshoujo, is the whole "kiss" sequence reanimated and clearly visible to viewers for the first time. The dougas run from B19 to B31 END, continuing the previous series that shows Maron backing away from Sinbad.
In pacing this series, we followed the timing sheet, which shows a slight slowdown just at B23, where Jeanne is pulled forward to the full extent by Sinbad's grasp; then, at B24, she falls forward into his embrace.
See what an operator Sinbad is in this fantasy scene: he shows no hesitation but moves right into the thick of things once Jeanne drops forward. And watch that right hand of his, which expertly comes up, around Jeanne's waist, and pulls her body close to his. The foreshortening of his gloved fingers is superbly done. A beautiful, passionate sequence.
