Here Chiaki/Sinbad tugs Maron/Jeanne so forcefully toward him that she’s pulled off balance, and her robes and hair flutter as she falls forward toward him. The smoky look in Sinbad’s eyes is truly to die for, and the mix of surprised willingness in Jeanne’s eyes is also beautifully done. In drama, composition, and feel, it’s hard to imagine a sketch more perfectly executed than this one.
It's all the more amazing when you glance down at the screen cap and see how little of this image viewers could ever see, no thanks to the bank of pedestrians in front.
