Cut 18. At the end of the opening scene, Yûko makes Watanuke even angrier by blandly adding more and more items to her bar order.
See the earlier “2” genzu (on Gonzo layout paper; see thumbnail), where Yûko just looks pert and sober. This rough layout makes a dramatic shift to a dissipated, heavy-lidded expression – and see how this “bad girl” look was magnified even more in the screencap.
No, you won’t see this on WB Kids any time soon, or probably even on Adult Swim. But it’s certainly a fine conclusion to this little gallery: an absolutely characteristic image of one of my favorite manga/anime characters.
