And Gojyo extends his right leg and springs brightly out of the fiery circle created by the yokai's sword. At the same time, we see the sickle head of his Shakujo pop off, at the end of its thread of chains, and you'd think Gojyo would simply use it to whip off his opponent's head. But no ... it seems like a clear miss on both sides.
Look at the way Gojyo's image is deliberately blurred in the layout (first thumb); in fact, that's the way the image was manipulated in the final version (see the screen cap), with the canny fighter moving too fast for the CG folks to scan clearly.
