Ep. 18 (Age of cohabitation), c. 58: And in the C2 genga, she puts up her hand in farewell greeting and stylishly turns to leave. Other gengas (not imaged) show her leaving the scene.

The thumbnails show two very interesting alternative sketches. The first is a genzu that highlights Sakura’s essentially feminine side. Tatsuya Ishihara, the episode’s animation director, has a distinctive style of genzu sketching, in which the outlines of the character’s body are roughed out in a series of fine parallel lines. Out of this impressionistic outline come two rivetingly sexy eyes, Sakura caught in a few sure strokes of the pencil. You can see the same technique used in one of the genzus he later did for Inuyasha.

The second thumb takes you to a beautifully detailed but extremely faint shuusei sketch for the C2 key, in which Sakura is turned further away. This must be the work of AD Yasuhiro Takemoto, who, like all the Ishihara-tachi, executed extremely faint animation art.
