Finally, the dresser stops hopping, settles, and the glow comes from the drawer one last time. Eros drops his arms and, seemingly resigned, slo-o-owly turns and faces his doom. Notice he's still holding the daisy with the absurd little remaining petal.
In the episode, this strangely moving moment leads into a montage of equally disturbing images: Eros reaches for the drawer again; Silky stirs from an uneasy sleep; The Book of Chaos (which we've seen at the end of every episode) for the first time stays blank; then it closes, because there's no moral for this episode. Finally, a frame of the night sky, where, for the first time, there's no falling star to wish on ... and Episode 22 fades to black.
