The timing sheet shows that the first time the A5 is used, it went with the C1 and C2 swirly effects, which I didn’t get. So I’ve used one of the combinations used the second time this cel comes up in the bank: A5 (Yue), B3 (mouth), C6 (swirly effect) and D4 (swooshy effect). Again I’ve used the copy bg, though non-matching.

Now step back to the gallery home page and look again at the whole collection of cels in motion, thanks to my friend vampyreshoujo:

This was not an attempt to reanimate this cut—which would be impossible with the missing layers and unnecessary since you can see the original filmed version on the DVD with all the filters, pans, dialogue, bells, and whistles. But it is a convenient way to view all the cels I got in this collection.

In compiling this animation, I followed the animator’s general guidelines, as shown on the sequence sheet, and imaged the effects layers changing twice each time that the Yue layer changes. Since I have four swirly effect layers and five swooshy effect layers, this bank now returns to the start after twenty images rather than 24.

My thanks to vampyreshoujo for spending a lot of time on this animation and keeping it as smooth as possible. (Now we understand all too well why the filtering and slow counterclockwise pan throughout the cut was necessary!)
